Welllllllllllll...... we just viewed some of Tom Scott's "Sand Vision" in class... I have to say.. they are pretty cool... I my self have actually taken pictures of those types of images at the beach... I think it's really interesting how nature can create it's own art in a sense.. then some one comes along and photographs it and takes all the credit for good ol' mother nature.. Just kidding.. kinda... anyways.. sooo Since I'm a surfer and I love the beach.. I am always looking at things at the beach.. and seeing what images I can see or imagine out of what is there... kind of like seeing shapes and images out of clouds.. I like to do that too... okay sorry.. tangent... BUT... I guess I'm sort of a dreamer.. and my imagination is always running... sooo there's that.. Back to Tom Scott.. sorry... so because I can relate to his work and really enjoy the beach.. I liked his stuff... although I do have to agree with Deborah I don't like his dumb titles.. but I just didn't look at them or pay attention to them... soo that worked for me.. I thought most of his stuff was really neat because he captured the beauty of what was done by the ocean.. I did and didn't like his adding to it.. I like it because sometimes it added a little color and made it more interesting.. but I think it also kind of took away from the natural aspect of it.. BUT.. he did use other natural stuff like seaweed and rocks.. soo that part was cool too.. Some of the shots looked toooooo umm,... what's the word.. like too set up.. too staged... sooo I wasn't really dig'n on those.. But other than that I really liked his stuff.. COOL BEANS!! ~K~ bye...
